Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions of Service apply to all products and services provided by ‘smarttechnique’.
All work that is carried out by ‘smarttechnique’ is on the understanding that the client has agreed to the terms & conditions layed out below.
Copyright is retained by ‘smarttechnique’ on all design work including words, pictures, ideas, and concepts unless specifically agreed by both parties involved.
A choice of designs will be presented to you the client where agreed but only one solution is deemed to be given to fulfill the contract. All other designs remain the property of ‘smarttechnique’, unless agreed in writing that this arrangement has been changed.
At the time of proposal, ‘smarttechnique’ will provide the customer with a written PDF format estimate or quotation, Which is valid for 30 days on receipt of exceptance.
After the 30 days another quote will need to be provided. A copy of these terms and conditions are available to download from our website.
A copy of the written estimate or quotation is to be signed and dated by the customer to indicate acceptance and should be returned to us via (post, fax or email. Contact details can be found at the bottom of the page). Receipt of this binds the client to accept ‘smarttechnique’ terms and conditions. No work on any project will commence until either document has been received by ‘smarttechnique’.
Charges for design services to be provided by ‘smarttechnique’ will be set out in the written estimate or quotation that is provided to the customer. At the time of the customer's signed acceptance of the Terms & Conditions, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted fee will become immediately due. Work on the project will not commence until this has been received
Charges for additional services:
Charges for any additional services over and above the estimated design will become fully payable (100% of the quoted amount) at the time of estimate or quotation acceptance. In all instances you the client will receive one copy of any final files in formats agreed before the project is started. Please ensure you keep these safe as further copies will be provided for a cost of one hours work. Files will not be sent before 100% of the fee has been received by ‘smarttechnique’. Any print work carried out by ‘smarttechnique’ will have a seperate approval form (also available to download) and will need to be signed and sent to ‘smarttechnique’ before any files can be sent to print.
The customer will be provided with an Approval Form and Invoice prior to final publication. At this time the remainder of the amount due will become payable and the customer will also be required to sign and return
the Approval Form to ‘smarttechnique. Accounts that remain outstanding for 30 days after the date of invoice, will incur an extra charge of 2% per month of the outstanding amount.
Payments may be made by cash, cheque, or (for overseas customers), Pounds sterling, or previously agreed electronic funds transfer.
Publication and/or release of any work done by ’smarttechnique’ on behalf of the client, may not take place unless the amout has been settled and receipt of approval form has been received.
